ECG (Electrocardiogram)

A tracing of the heart's electrical activity.

Definition

An ECG records voltage changes across the body surface caused by heart muscle contraction. It's fast, painless, and the first-line test for chest pain, palpitations, and suspected arrhythmia. Outputs the familiar P-QRS-T pattern.
