HDL Cholesterol
'Good' cholesterol — carries cholesterol back to the liver.
Definition
HDL transports cholesterol from tissues back to the liver for disposal. Higher levels are protective. Exercise and healthy fats raise HDL; smoking and sedentary living lower it.
