NSAID

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.

Definition

NSAIDs (ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac) reduce inflammation, pain, and fever by blocking COX enzymes. They're very effective but can irritate the stomach, raise blood pressure, and affect kidneys — avoid in ulcer history, kidney disease, or third-trimester pregnancy.
